Heynckes: Lewandowski must ignore transfer talk and focus on Bayern

Robert Lewandowski should stay focused on the task in hand at Bayern Munich and ignore speculation over his future at the Allianz Arena.

The Poland international has been linked with a move to Real Madrid since his days at Borussia Dortmund but fresh speculation suggests that Lewandowski could move to the Bernabeu this summer.

As usual, Lewandowski has been in fantastic form this campaign, with 29 goals in 34 appearances in all competitions and he remains vital to Bayern’s hopes in the Champions League.

And current manager Jupp Heynckes has urged the 29-year-old to give the Bundesliga side his full attention while the season is still going on.

“Lewandowski must concentrate on Bayern,” he is quoted by Mundo Deportivo. “If we want to go far in the Champions League, it has to work in the offensive sector and it’s better not to be arguing about that (about a transfer).

“When you play at Bayern, you must be attentive to the maximum. I do not know if they are speculations or dreams, I do not have information about. But if you play at Bayern you cannot be distracted. There is no other club like Bayern.”
