Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson was keen to take the positives from Saturday’s 1-0 loss to Spurs.
Son Heung-min popped up to curl home the winner from the edge of Palace’s box in the 64th minute.
The goal came shortly after Hodgson’s side had failed to score a glorious opportunity, when Wilfried Zaha had rounded Spurs goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga, before firing wide of the open goal.
“I thought we worked hard and there weren’t that many shots to worry about,” Hodgson told the press post-match.
“At the other end I thought we had quite a few moments of our own so it’s a bitter blow to lose the game 1-0.
“With any luck whatsoever we would have come away with some points from the game.”
