Zlatan Ibrahimovic: Striker signs for Manchester United

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will undergo a medical at Manchester United this week ahead of his proposed move to the club, according to reports.

Ibrahimovic, who is a free agent after his Paris Saint-Germain contract expired, is expected to sign a one-year contract at Old Trafford, where he will be reunited with former boss Jose Mourinho.

According to Sky Sports, personal terms were agreed prior to Euro 2016 as United tried to push through a deal ahead of the tournament.

Sweden failed to make it out of the group stages and the striker, who captained the side, has now retired from international football.

The 34-year-old will be Mourinho’s second signing after replacing Louis van Gaal, having already captured Ivory Coast defender Eric Bailly from Villarreal.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan is also close to a move to United after the club agreed a £26.3million fee with Borussia Dortmund for the attacking midfielder.
