The 28-year-old is back in training having been sidelined since January with a foot injury.
But Ikeme’s return will give boss Kenny Jackett a selection headache for the promotion run-in with deputy Tomasz Kuszczak having impressed in the last 11 games.
“I hope that, by the start of the Easter period, Carl is there and available,” said Jackett.
“He should be. There’s no reason why that shouldn’t be the case. We’re hopeful we will have both of our senior keepers ready to go to Nottingham.
“I think Kuszczak has done very little wrong. The points total since he has been in the side is good and also his personal consistency befits someone who in the last two years has been in sides who have made the top six in the division, which is a good achievement.”
