Alexis Sanchez: He is yet to commit his future to Arsenal

Alexis Sanchez has declared himself “happy and comfortable” at Arsenal despite failing to agree a new contract to stay at the Emirates Stadium.

The Chilean is reported to be looking for a massive wage increase to bring him in line with Paul Pogba as one of the highest earners in the Premier League.

He has scored 15 Premier League goals this season, adding another in the Gunners’ 4-0 win over Swansea on Saturday.

During a new interview, Sanchez said:

“I feel really happy and comfortable at the club. I want to win a title here for the fans.

“I feel comfortable playing alongside (Mesut Ozil). He has great vision, and everybody knows about his control.”

Goalkeeper Petr Cech told the Evening Standard: “I think for us it is important to show them how much we need them in the team and to show them how much we want to win.

“Then obviously it will make their decision easier. If they see that we are competitive, everybody is ready to win things together and they know how important they are for our team, then this will make their decision easier.”
