Franck Kessie: Hot prospect for Atalanta

Atalanta ace Franck Kessie is says he doesn’t know if his club have received any offers for his services.

The powerful midfielder claims to be “very flattered” by the interest in him, but says he is in no rush to leave Italy.

The Ivory Coast man insists that he is still happy to play for Gian Piero Gasperini’s men, who are in fifth place in Serie A.

“I read things in the press. I am very flattered that clubs of this level are interested in me,” he told So Foot.

“This proves that I’m having a good season, that I continue to progress. I don’t want to go too fast.

“I don’t know if my club has received any offers. I’m under contract. We’ll see if we need to discuss anything.

“I like Bergamo. The city is nice, quiet, and I appreciate life in Italy, where I was well received.”

Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Roma have all been heavily linked with the 20-year-old, who is under contract until June 2021.

In December it was recently reported that Chelsea had made a £21million bid for the rising star, but Atalanta are said to be holding out for at least £34million for Kessie

Unlike Kessie, the player’s agent George Atangana, has been fuelling the speculation and in December he told Guardian Sport:  “We have a lot of interest from the Premier League – Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal.
