Inter Milan are reportedly interested in a stunning move to try and lure Liverpool winger Sadio Mane to Serie A.
The Italian giants, along with city rivals Milan, are going all out this summer to try and land some of Europe’s top stars as they try and end Juventus’ Serie A dominance.
The report in La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that the nerazzurri are looking to bring in at least two new defenders, one central midfielder and one attacking winger, with Mane their main target for the attacking role.
The Italian publication, however, states that Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is not prepared to sell the Senegal star at any price, although Inter are still monitoring Mane’s situation as they believe Liverpool’s signing of Mo Salah could still open the door to a potential exit for the 25-year-old.
Mane has been outstanding since moving to Anfield for £34million from Southampton last summer and still has four years remaining on his existing contract.
The former Red Bull Salzburg star netted 13 goals in 27 Premier League appearances in his first season with the Reds, but his campaign ended in April after he suffered a knee injury.
However, that did not stop Mane being named the club’s Player of the Year, while he was also selected in the PFA’s Team of the Season.
