Inter Milan could go on a huge spending spree in January, and have placed Man Utd midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan at the top of their wanted list.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Inter will use super agent Mino Raiola to boost their chances of attracting the Armenian captain.
The 28-year-old has featured frequently for the Red Devils so far this season, but the source in Italy understands that the Premier League side would consider selling if an offer they deem suitable is produced.
The Serie A side’s relations with Raiola had cooled for a period of time, but that is likely to change in the near future, as the pair work together ironing out a deal to bring the midfielder to Inter.
Mkhitaryan has expressed a desire to move to Italy during his career, and this revelation suggests that may happen sooner rather than later.
The Sun reported last month that Mourinho had “major reservations” over the midfielder, who has made 16 Premier League and Champions League starts this season, scoring twice.
Mkhitaryan became Mourinho’s third signing at United when he arrived from Borussia Dortmund for €42million in July 2016, but he has failed to fulfil his potential so far at United.
