Inter Milan are closing in on Roma defender Kostas Manolas, according to reports.
Manolas has been heavily linked with both Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea over the last few months but it now appears there could be new frontrunners for the centre-back’s signature.
According to Tuttosport, Inter Milan will have a patron of The Suning Group – who own the club – present at the match between Inter and Roma this weekend as the Italian giants look to open discussions over a transfer for Manolas.
The Greek defender is likely to have his salary doubled if a €45 million deal goes through, with Roma understood to be ready to pay a final installment of €8 million for Juan Jesus in return.
PSG’s Marquinhos, Lazio’s Stefan de Vrij and Sassuolo’s Francesco Acerbi are all thought to be alternatives if any deal for Manolas fell through.
