Leeds United will complete the permanent signing of Pontus Jansson in the summer when his loan with the club expires, the Championship side have confirmed.
The defender has made a huge impression on the Leeds fans with a number of accomplished performances on the pitch coupled with his passion for the club.
Jansson has agreed a three-year contract with the Yorkshire side that will see him leave Serie A side Torino.
The deal ties him down at Elland Road until the 2019/20 season after playing in 21 league matches for the club this campaign, scoring three goals.
The Swede started his career in his homeland with Malmo before moving to Turin in 2014, but having failed to nail down a regular place in Torino’s line-up he moved on loan to Leeds.
The Whites are currently fourth in the Championship and five points off Newcastle, who are in the last automatic promotion place.
