Juventus are considering a move for Leicester City and France midfielder N’Golo Kante, according to reports from Calciomercato.com.
According to CM.com transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano, Juventus representatives met the player’s entourage a few days ago and were offered the services of the French International during the meeting.
The Italian champions are interested, but are not keen on paying the €25million release fee. If Leicester are willing to negotiate on that price, then the 25-year-old could make the switch to Turin.
Juve recently signed Miralem Pjanic from Roma to re-inforce their midfield, so signing Kante could be an indication that they are resigned to losing Paul Pogba.
Calciomercato go on to state that Real Madrid and PSG are also interested in the player.
Leicester City meanwhile appear to be preparing for life without Kante, as they are close to signing Nampalys Mendy according to reports from various sources.
Last month, Kante threw cold water on rumours of an exit, insisting his focus remained on his country ahead of the Euros.
“For now, I am happy at Leicester,” he told L’Equipe. “I do not pay too much attention to everything that is said. For now, I am in Leicester and I focus on the Euros.
“I think that my season at Leicester surprised everybody. People liked to see a new Premier League champion. We had a magnificent season.
“And then, my debut with France went well. Maybe my journey also helps compared to other people who come from amateur football.
“I try to stay the same. I am not aware that my personality is different.”
