Juventus are reportedly ready to make a move for Liverpool target Inaki Williams in this summer’s transfer window, according to reports in the Italian media.
The 22-year-old Athletic Bilbao striker, who is also is currently under contract until 2021 and is reported to have a 50million euro release clause, is one of Europe’s highest-rated prospects and is also said to be a target for Borussia Dortmund.
Tuttosport, however, claim that Juve are serious contenders to sign the Spain international, who is comfortable playing wide or as a central attacking option.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is likely to freshen up his attacking options this summer, with the future of Daniel Sturridge uncertain and Divock Origi not staking a claim for a regular starting spot.
Williams himself said earlier this week of Liverpool’s interest: “There are a lot of rumours going around but I’m relaxed about it. If other clubs are looking at me it’s because I’m doing well. I’m very lucky.
“If I had to leave Athletic tomorrow I’d be completely upfront with the club. They have given me everything.
“I don’t want a change of scenery, that’s my preferred option at the moment. This is my home.”
Dortmund, meanwhile, are preparing themselves for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s inevitable exit and are already scouting potential replacements.
