Harry Kane: Says Spurs are flying

Tottenham have announced that striker Harry Kane has signed a new contract until 2022.

Kane had been in talks with Spurs since the summer and his new deal extends his stay at White Hart Lane by a further two years.

The England striker finished top scorer in the Premier League last season with 25 goals and has hit the net five times already this term.

“It’s amazing. Everyone knows how much I love this team and what I feel for this club,” Kane told Tottenham’s official club website.

“To sign another contract is a special feeling. We’ve got a great, young squad and the club is moving in the right direction.”

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino hailed his star striker as “one of the best in the world” after the dramatic 3-2 comeback victory against West Ham.

Kane scored twice in the dying stages last month to give Spurs an unlikely victory at White Hart Lane.

“Kane is always very important, he is our main striker and one of the best strikers in the world,” stated Pochettino.

“You miss that type of player when he does not play for 10 or 11 games.”
