Tottenham striker Harry Kane has revealed what England team-mate Joe Hart said to him before he took Sunday’s vital penalty at The Etihad.
Kane blasted the spot-kick straight down the middle on 53 minutes to put Spurs ahead after Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling had somewhat harshly been penalised for handling Danny Rose’s cross.
“We practice quite a lot when we are away with England and he said ‘I know you like to go to the keeper’s right and down the middle’ and then he said ‘I think you’re going to go down the middle’ and I said ‘Ok’ and then put it down the middle,” Kane told a Junior Fans’ Forum.
