Harry Kane has warned Liverpool that Tottenham can burst their bubble of hysteria following Jurgen Klopp’s appointment in their Premier League clash on Saturday.
Newly-appointed Reds boss Jurgen Klopp takes Liverpool to White Hart Lane on Saturday for his first match in charge.
The new Liverpool chief has already spoken of his desire to create a recognisable brand of football at Anfield – but Kane has warned the German that he won’t have things all his own way on Saturday – and also believes that Spurs are ready to steal a march on them in the race for the top four.
Kane said: “Nobody is talking about us four the top four and that’s probably a good thing. We haven’t lost in the League since the first game of the season. We’ve had a few draws where we should have won as well.
“But we are playing well and doing the right things. We have a fit young squad and we are training hard. We are happy to stay under the radar and keep putting in good performances.
“It’s very open this year. I think that’s the standard of the Premier League – anyone can beat anyone, and that’s been shown a lot this season.
“We have Liverpool on Saturday and we are really looking forward to it. Hopefully we can perform well again and get another three points.
“I think we’ve out-run every team we have played this season. That’s a sign we’re playing the manager’s tactics right and we are fit enough to do it. So it’s a case of doing it again on Saturday.
“Liverpool are going to have a new manager and they will be up for it. In the first couple of game everybody tries to impress a new manager so they will probably have that little five per cent extra. We expect that.
“But we have out-run every team we have played and will be looking to do so again. The Liverpool players at England could not wait to get back to start working under Klopp. But I am focused on Tottenham and what we have to do.”
