Managerial rookie Kelly has made just one acquisition since assuming the role at SportsDirect.com Park, bringing former midfielder Lee Croft back to the club.
However, their lack of activity thus far is not concerning the 35-year-old, who remains confident players want to join him at the club.
Any potential arrivals must be the right fit for Latics, though, as Kelly bids to build a strong dressing room spirit in his first campaign at the helm.
“They’ve got to be good for us on and off the pitch,” he told Latics Player.
“It’s important we have a good togetherness in the changing room, everybody’s pulling in the right direction and everybody’s in it together.
“I’m very happy with how it’s gone and the feedback I’m getting from the agents in terms of players wanting to come on board. Hopefully, in due course, everything will be sorted.”
