Jurgen Klopp admits Liverpool have lacked depth in attack this season and has made signing reinforcements one of his top aims this summer.
Injuries to Philippe Coutinho over Christmas and Sadio Mane – who could be out for the rest of the season – have left the Reds light in attack and Klopp knows the situation has hindered their top-four aims this season.
A long-term problem to Danny Ings, while Daniel Sturridge’s ongoing issues have also exasperated the situation and Klopp will make striking additions one of his main aims of the summer window.
He said: “The problems we had in January and February, the injury of Phil in November. Sadio in January, Danny Ings, Daniel Sturridge, should we have another striker or winger? Yes. It felt like this in other moments.
“Next year with more games we need more options, that’s clear.
“Of course, we will bring in players. The squad will change in a few positions.”
