Jurgen Klopp and his Liverpool players held a morale-boosting “singalong” in a hotel bar following their defeat in the Europa League final, it has been revealed.
The Reds slipped to a 3-1 loss against Sevilla in the Basel showpiece on Wednesday, coming three months after they lost their first final under Klopp in the Capital One Cup.
Klopp said after the game he took blame for the loss and also hinted he will make moves in the transfer market this summer.

According to David Maddock of the Daily Mirror, Klopp lifted the spirits of his players by leading them in a singalong in the team hotel in the evening.
Maddock writes: ‘At the bar in the team hotel after the game, he called the entire squad together and offered a rousing speech which ended: “Two hours ago, you all felt s**t. Now hopefully you all feel better. This is just the start for us. We will play in many more finals.”
‘He then conducted the players in a singalong, belting out at the top of his spectacularly out-of-tune voice: “We are Liverpool, tra la la la la…”
The report initially appeared in the Daily Mail, courtesy of Dominic King. He writes:
‘Liverpool had a party planned at their team hotel for after the Europa League final and Klopp insisted it went ahead following their 3-1 defeat to Sevilla in Basle, given how much effort the squad had put into their season.
‘It was in the early hours when Klopp gathered the playing staff, along with his backroom team, on the dance floor,’ before delivering his speech.
