Klopp hails Liverpool, four-goal hero Salah after thrashing Watford
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has hailed Mohamed Salah as a “fantastic boy” following their 5-0 victory over Watford in the Premier League on Saturday.
Salah scored four goals as he cemented himself as the Premier League’s top scorer with 28 league goals – four more than nearest rival Harry Kane, who will spend a spell on the sidelines with injury.
“It was very pleasing,” Klopp said after the match. “It could have been really difficult tonight.
“We knew we had to be spot on from the first to the last second and our work rate had to be higher than 100%.
“The goals we scored were unbelievably good, and the boys didn’t stop. That’s how football should be, so I’m really happy with the performance.”
On Salah’s exploits so far this season, the former Dortmund manager added: “He loves scoring. He’s a fantastic boy to be honest.”
The Reds will face Manchester City in the quarter-finals of the Champions League and he is looking forward to the fixtures.
“Man City knows it’s not gonna be easy. For football fans they are going to be two fantastic games. There’ll be no bus parking, both teams will go!”
