Jurgen Klopp has refused to allow Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo to move on loan as he wants to keep a big squad, according to reports.
Newcastle were understood to be interested in the youngster’s services and had hoped to take him on loan for the rest of the season.
However, the Liverpool Echo claims that the Reds will snub any interest in the 19-year-old and instead keep him to help their cause in the Premier League and cup competitions.
Klopp’s side remain in contention for the Premier League title and have enjoyed a run to the semi-finals of the League Cup, while they face Plymouth in an FA Cup replay this week.
Ojo made his first start of the season against Plymouth in the original tie – which Liverpool drew 0-0 – and is expected to get the nod again for the replay at Home Park.
It was a difficult start to the season for Ojo, having to wait until November to return to training after suffering a stress fracture to his back in pre-season.
