Ronald Koeman is set to snub interest from Everton in favour of signing a new contract at Southampton.

Everton have been eyeing Koeman as they search for a successor to Roberto Martinez, who was sacked before the end of the Premier League season.

But according to The Mirror, the Dutch manager appears likely to recommit to Southampton by signing a new two-year deal at St Mary’s.

during the Barclays Premier League match between Southampton and Crystal Palace at St Mary's Stadium on May 15, 2016 in Southampton, England.

Koeman has recently switched agents, with his new representative Rob Jansen holding talks with the Saints while the manager is on holiday.

The 53-year-old’s current contract has only a year remaining and the former Barcelona star appeared to be stalling on a new agreement while he sought reassurances from the club over the scale of their ambition.

Koeman is also likely to net a pay rise, taking his salary from £2million to £2.5million.
