Liverpool defender Kolo Toure admits he is unsure where he will be playing next season – but thinks Real Madrid could be interested in his services.
Toure – the Reds’ only fit centre-back – impressed in Liverpool’s 1-0 victory at Stoke City on Tuesday, partnering Lucas Leiva in central defence after Dejan Lovren had to be taken off injured.
The Ivorian is out of contract at Anfield in the summer and has failed to start a single match in the Premier League this term, but believes if he continues to perform like he did at the Britannia Stadium an illustrious offer may come his way.
“If I can play like that then maybe I will go to Real Madrid,” Toure said. “I don’t know what I’ll do at the end of this season but I’d like to stay in the Premier League.
“My kids are here and it is difficult to move. I am loving every day but God knows where I will be in a year’s time.
“But I hope it’s playing football because I love it.”
