Leeds chief exec stands down from post after only a year

Ben Mansford is set to step down from his post as Leeds United’s chief executive at the end of the month after only a year in the role at Elland Road.

Mansford joined the club from Barnsley last summer and has overseen a successful period in charge on and off the field, with Garry Monk leading Leeds to a seventh-placed finish in the Sky Bet Championship.

He played an important role in bringing Andrea Radrizzani to the club, with the now co-owner hoping to complete a full takeover of Leeds in the coming weeks.

Radrizzani said: “Ben has been a major factor in the club’s resurgence in the past 12 months, commercially and in the community. He has been a great support to Garry Monk and played an important role in my investment process.”
