Championship side Leeds are the surprising new bookies’ favourites to sign Celtic’s prolific striker Moussa Dembele.
The 21-year-old frontman has been heavily linked with a move away from the Scottish champions this month and Ladbrokes are offering odds of 9/2 for Dembele to make the switch to Elland Road before Wednesday night’s transfer deadline.
Leeds boss Thomas Christiansen is looking to add more firepower to his squad and there is no doubting that the former Fulham forward would provide that.
There is no mention of what the fee could be but Brighton had a £12m offer for Dembele rejected last week and it would be a surprise if Leeds could match or even surpass that sort of figure.
Crystal Palace are also in the hunt for the attacker and are priced at 6/1, with Newcastle 8/1 and Brighton and West Ham 10/1 shots.
