Leeds owner and chairman Andrea Radrizzani has become a trustee of the club’s charity, the Leeds United Foundation.

Radrizzani, 42, has experience of working in the charity sector as founder and executive chairman of the Play for Change Foundation.

“The Leeds United Foundation is a fundamental element of the Leeds United brand and family, providing incredible support for the city and community and creating opportunities for some of the most vulnerable,” Radrizzani told the club’s official website.

“They are helping every day and I am delighted to become a trustee, offering my time, energy and knowledge to support the people of Leeds, helping to unite the club and the community.

“I am in a fortunate position and it’s important to me personally that we give back to those most in need wherever and however we can.”

Radrizzani completed his 100 per cent takeover of Leeds from former joint owner Massimo Cellino last month.

The Play for Change Foundation is an international charity set up by Radrizzani in 2010, dedicated to improving the lives of young people through sport and education.
