Leeds United have handed a trial to Huddersfield midfielder Jack Boyle, who could make a permanent move to Elland Road this summer.

According to BBC journalist Adam Pope, Boyle, who is contracted to the Terriers until 2018, featured for the Whites’ reserve side earlier in the week as they look to increase the depth of their academy squad.

Should Leeds be successful in their pursuit of Boyle, it is sure to further increase hostilities between the two West Yorkshire clubs.

Managers and players had to be separated by the fourth official in the heated 2-1 victory for Huddersfield last weekend, with both managers then charged by the FA for improper conduct.
