Leicester will look to add “three or four” new signings to their Premier League title-winning squad, according to the club’s vice-chairman.
The Foxes are currently on a promotional visit to Thailand where Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha, son of club owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, has been discussing the champions’ plans to bolster their squad ahead of their maiden season in the Champions League.
“I am extremely happy with the current squad we have, but next season we have so many more competitions,” he said.
“We have to add some players. Maybe we will add three or four. If we sign more it will not be down to me, but the scouts and manager. They have the sharp eyes to bring in amazing players.”
Claudio Ranieri has also spoken of Leicester’s need to select very carefully who they bring into such a tight-knit squad.
“It’s not so important to bring superstars but to bring players like ours, that play with the heart and the soul,” said the manager.
“This is a family team and we need to find new brothers.”
