Lions and Gills share~the spoils

Millwall dominated early on with Ahmet Brkovic’s devilish free-kick almost forcing Danny Cullip head into his own net before the Croatian midfielder then saw his 25-yard volley clawed to safety by Gills keeper Derek Stillie and the former Dundee United custodian athletically denied Neil Harris’ low drive.

The save proved crucial as the visitors took the lead on 25 minutes, Nicky Southall’s free-kick beating Rhys Evans at his near post.

Stillie preserved the lead in first-half stoppage time, turning aside Danny Senda’s low drive before Brkovic headed wide of an open goal with Stillie stranded on 51 minutes.

But the equaliser came on 75 minutes, Robinson volleying in Senda’s cross from the edge of the box.
