Jurgen Klopp has offered an injury update on Liverpool pair Nathaniel Clyne and Lucas Leiva.

Firstly, Klopp – was speaking before Liverpool’s FA Cup replay against Plymouth Argyle – revealed that Lucas is unlikely to play a part in the game after not yet returning to training.

Leiva didn’t feature against Manchester United after suffering from a swollen knee, and the issue still remains.

“Lucas knee swollen, but it’s only a bruise,” said Klopp. “We have to wait for swelling to go away. He’s positive, maybe he could train today.”

Another player absent from Sunday’s game was Clyne, and Klopp again had positive news.

While Clyne will not play a part against Plymouth, he may be back in time for the Swansea game this weekend.

“Clyne, it’s really painful but after a scan it’s nothing else (but muscle problem),” Klopp added. “We give him 2-3 more days. Big chance for Swansea.”

Klopp also confirmed that goalkeeper Loris Karius would once again get the nod to start in the Plymouth replay.
