UNITED CAN COMFORTABLY AFFORD SANCHEZ

For all the talk of the obscene salaries we pay…it is interesting to note that our wage bill as a percentage of turnover is the lowest in the league at 45%. Only Spurs really come close at 48%. Interestingly, Barcelona’s is a staggering 90%.

Reckon we can comfortably afford Sanchez, although the morality of anybody earning that much is another matter.

And poor old City eh? Out manoeuvred, out thought and out bid once again. And to think people on here have been saying we can’t attract the top players anymore?! 🤔
Obviously the little voice inside Sanchez’s head told him what he should really do!

happyhurling

I dont question the player Sanchez. I questioning the board and Mourinho for signing old players. That smells desperation big time. And why Raiola has permission to live on earth and why Man United doing bussiness with him is beyond stupidity.

What the hell is happening with Man United? Hiring the non honour coward poke eye little man manager who favours old players and doing bussiness with snakes like Raiola. How low have this club fallen, low, very very low.

TIME TO LET STURRIDGE LEAVE LIVERPOOL?

Should studge go? Apparently inter want him. I feel a loan move is good for him BUT what about Firmino and the need to rest occasionally, is Solanke and Ings up to filling in? History suggests not.

However I feel with Solanke once he gets that first goal his confidence will lift and we will see a different player, he has the physicality to be a good player looks like he is affected by not scoring.

Haven’t seen much of Ings in reserves so not sure if he could fill in for Firmino either. Do we need to buy someone if Studge goes?

mwake

Mwake would be a risk to let Sturridge go unless we get a replacement in then by all means as he needs to move on much for the sake of himself as the club.

However Ings is coming back from a serious injury and imho needs to go out on loan to play regular so we can see if he can regain his sharpness (both mind and physically).

I like Solanke and think he will come good but he needs a lot of work with his finishing, ability to get into positions and think about it if we are chasing a CL game and Firmino is injures or has to come on would you really be comfortable bringing Solanke or Ings on for that matter ….

I think we are light up top and this needs to be addressed and that doesn’t mean bringing Origi back before anyone suggests that.

Bob-Notts

Sturridge can not be relied upon i would not loan him out as it is highly likely he will get injured. If someone comes in with a decent offer sell him but i doubt anyone will take the risk.

AK

Sturridge isn’t any good as back up as he’s not available when need, but he’s handy for the apprentice physios to try their hand on

VAR ONLY AS GOOD AS THE VAR IN THE STANDS!

Well one thing was clear last night- Mike Jones is as useless as a VAR referee as he is actually out on the grass

NOLU

lets give it a chance at least! it is not a silver bullet but it might just help those bid decisions that can really hurt a team

steveosnakeeye

Thought it worked well for the Ineanhacho goal….quick and decisive with no question about the decision. Didn’t the lino keep his flag down until the phase of play had completed?

It will open up plenty of cans of worms, like last night, but like stevo I reckon we need to stick with it and give the technology a chance.

Wonderfuel Gas

the linesman can put up his flag whenever but the ref must not blow until the ball has gone dead or is safely cleared. Players must know that they only stop playing to the whistle never to a flag, that was always the rule and even more so now.

CHELSEA NEED AN ACCOMPLISHED STRIKER – NOW!

well yet again if last nights game proved anything we are now in desperate need of an accomplished striker, though I cannot really mention or think of anyone which is probably the same reason why the cub are not really chasing anyone except the likes of Carrol.

At the moment no-one seems capable of scoring, Batshuayi was as surprised as everyone else when the ball actually went into the net and only just as well.

notnice

Notnice – very true. My feeling is that if they think that Conte will walk, is investing 50+m in a player like Aubameyang (for example) really worth it…? Probably better to wait for the new man in the Summer and go on his preferences

Trouble is staying with what we have clearly can put the season in jeopardy when I am sure that Roman would want CL football next season. KTBFFH

You can say what you like about shooting bats… wasn’t a great performance, but he scored… two outcasts combined… given no one else has scored since December I don’t care what a striker does so long as they score… goals put points on the board.

Romansdirtypants

dennis wise was asked about the possible signing of Carroll, well, he laughed, he too probably cant believe that the story has substance in it, but it has.
And some actually posted after last nights game we needed him, really, think there are 16 games left so on his return on games played he would probably manage three, a lame duck who, and forget what Moyes is spewing out, that WH would be delighted to get any sort of fee for.
