One reported Liverpool and Chelsea target has told Real Madrid that he wants to leave the club this summer, a report claims.
According to Spanish news outlet Diario Gol, Marco Asensio is set to depart Real this summer as he is struggling for game time under Zinedine Zidane.
Asensio has scored eight goals and provided four assists in 32 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga champions so far this season and he is seen as one of their future stars.
The report claims that the 22-year-old has already contacted Liverpool and Chelsea over a possible summer move.
Diario Gol believe that Chelsea are eyeing the winger due to Eden Hazard’s future at Stamford Bridge being uncertain, while Liverpool believe Asensio could be the ideal replacement for Philippe Coutinho.
However, it is believed that Los Blancos president Florentino Perez desperately wants to keep hold of Asensio, and as such he has told the player to hold off making a decision on his future.
Don Balon claimed on Wednesday that Chelsea have already registered their interest in him and are willing to go to €135m to sign the young winger.
