Liverpool are set to receive their last instalment in the £65million deal which saw Luis Suarez leave Anfield to join Barcelona in 2014.
The La Liga giants will transfer a fifth and final payment of £12.98million to Merseyside later this week, the fifth of its kind, to take the Uruguayan’s total transfer fee to its full amount.
Suarez, who was named alongside Barcelona team-mates Lionel Messi and Neymar as the cover stars of PES 2017, has lifted the league title in both of his seasons at the Nou Camp as well as clinching two Copa del Rey titles, a Champions League, a UEFA Super Cup and a Club World Cup.
There was some controversy back in March when Football Leaks revealed that the fee which took Suarez to Barcelona was £65m, as it was £10m short of his release clause.
Liverpool, meanwhile, are set to further bolster their midfield ahead of the new season with a second raid on Newcastle, while defender Mamadou Sakho is facing an uncertain future after being sent home from the Reds’ pre-season tour.
