Liverpool, Tottenham in battle to land Norwich midfield sensation

Liverpool and Tottenham are reportedly keen on signing Norwich’s England Under-21 attacking midfielder James Maddison.

The 21-year-old has been excellent for the Canaries this season, scoring six times in the Championship and also providing five assists.

However, the report in the Daily Mirror claims that any potential suitors will have to wait until the summer to land the player as Norwich are already cashing in on fellow midfielder Alex Pritchard – who looks set to join Huddersfield for £11million.

The report goes on to state that Liverpool and Spurs aren’t the only clubs showing an interest in Maddison, with Southampton also keen along with Championship pacesetters Wolves – who had the chance to sign the player in 2016.

Maddison only joined the Canaries two years ago from Coventry and spent last season on loan at Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen.
