David De Gea was the only Manchester United player to escape the media’s criticism following their defeat at Liverpool, while Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin were heavily slaughtered.
United were second best in every department as Liverpool secured a 2-0 win at Anfield thanks to goals by Daniel Sturridge and Roberto Firmino.
After the match, Jurgen Klopp felt Liverpool could have scored more – and the papers certainly agreed with De Gea coming in with an average score of 8/10.
That was in stark contrast to his team-mates – with Memphis netting an average of 4.75 and Schneiderlin fairing not much better.
Man of the moment Marcus Rashford fared little better either, scoring just an average of 5.5.
It was the complete contrast for Liverpool, however, with Roberto Firmino (7.625) and Adam Lallana (7.5) the pick of their star players.
