According to an exclusive on Sunday, Liverpool will offer to double the wages of Adam Lallana in a bid to ward off interest from Tottenham.
The Daily Express claims “Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino wants to reunite with Lallana” and that will mean Liverpool doubling Lallana’s £60,000 a week contract.
The 28-year-old still has two more years left to run on his contract but he is set to be handed a deal eqaul to that of top earners James Milner and Daniel Sturridge.
Lallana has been in terrific form this season, scoring seven goals and Jurgen Klopp wants to extend his contract and ward off interest from elsewhere.
Pochettino, who sold him to Liverpool for £25million in 2014, is believed to be watching the situation, along with some of Europe’s big guns.
Expect Klopp to rush through a new deal for the England man before the end of the season.
