Chelsea full-back Branislav Ivanovic is poised to sign a new one-year contract amid interest from Inter Milan and Fiorentina.
The Times claim Ivanovic, who turns 32 next month, has agreed terms on a 12-month contract with the option of another 12 months.
The prospective deal comes as somewhat of a surprise because the Serbia right-back has been well short of the form he has shown in previous seasons, while Chelsea have a policy of offering only one-year deals to players over the age of 30.
Ivanovic has been a fine servant to the Blues having signed from Lokomotiv Moscow in 2008 for a fee of around £9million. He has won the Premier League twice and FA Cup three times in his time at Stamford Bridge, but his contract was set to expire at the end of the season.
Like many of his Chelsea team-mates, Ivanovic has not been at his best this season, but he has still been interesting a couple of Serie A sides and he has made 16 Premier League appearances as he looks to regain his form under new boss Guus Hiddink.
