Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has confirmed that he is confident of sealing a deal for Chelsea striker Bertrand Traore.
The 21-year-old scored 14 goals for Ajax on loan last season and was a major part of a team which reached the Europa League final.
However, regular football at Chelsea does not appear to be on the horizon, and after reports earlier in the week about a possible loan move to Lyon, it now appears the deal could be a permanent one.
According to a report in the London Evening Stand, Lyon president Aulas is growing in confidence that the deal can be done.
“We want to bring Bertrand Traore to the club,” Aulas said.
“There are advanced talks there, but many clubs are interested. We absolutely want to do the deal.”
Diego Costa is widely expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer, while they continue to be linked with a marquee striker signing such as Romelu Lukaku.
