Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez is set to miss his third game in a row as his strike continues.

According to the Daily Mail, the winger did not turn up for training yet again on Wednesday, and could remain AWOL until the end of the week.

Foxes boss Claude Puel will not consider Mahrez even if he turns up 48 hours before kick-off, the report claims.

The Algeria international has missed four training sessions and two matches after his deadline day move to Manchester City collapsed.

The Premier League leaders reportedly offered a deal worth £65million, but Leicester were asking for somewhere in the region of £80-90m according to various outlets.

After Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Swansea, Puel admitted that he was not sure when Mahrez would feature again.

He said: “I expect nothing, the most important thing is not to think about one player but to think about my team and my squad.”
