Manchester City are eying a move for £37-million rated Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos after ending their interest in Paul Pogba, according to reports.
With Pogba reportedly heading to the Bernabeu this summer, City have turned their interest to the Germany international, according to the Daily Express.
Kroos has struggled to establish himself as a regular in Zinadine Zidane’s side, and incoming City boss Pep Guardiola is reportedly eying a move for the 26-year-old, who he used to manage at Bayern Munich.
Guardiola is reportedly looking to seal a move for the World Cup winner after Euro 2016, potentially making him City’s second signing this summer after the arrival of Ilkay Gundogan in a £22million move from Borussia Dortmund.
Due to City’s ageing squad, Guardiola is likely to make a number of high profile changes at the club this summer.
The arrival of Gundogan and reports linking Kroos to the Etihad Stadium could potentially see fellow midfielders Yaya Toure, Fernando and Fernandinho leave the club this summer.
