Man City are reportedly at the head of the queue to sign 17-year-old AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, according to Italian sources.
Calciomercato believe Pep Guardiola is very keen on one of the hottest young talents in world football, but he faces competition from the likes of other European giants in the form of Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid.
This quartet are closely monitoring the teenager’s situation with AC Milan. He is contracted until 2018 but is said to be stalling on signing a new deal with the club, who could be left with no option but to cash-in on the Italian.
Donnarumma broke through to the AC Milan first team last season aged just 16 and has already been compared to Juventus and Italy legend Gianluigi Buffon.
