Man City retain hope as Sanchez demands £500k-a-week at PSG

Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez wants £500,000-a-week in wages to join Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports.

The Daily Mirror claims that his astronomical wage demands have given Manchester City some hope of still landing the Chilean.

City have already lost out once to PSG this summer when Dani Alves chose to join the Ligue 1 club instead of Pep Guardiola’s side and they are determined it won’t happen again.

The City hierarchy are hoping that his wage demands will price PSG out of the race, giving the Manchester side a clean run at Sanchez.

Bayern Munich already reportedly dropped out earlier this month when he demanded £420,000-a-week from the Bundesliga outfit in return for his services.

The report continues by saying that City believe Sanchez is a back-up option in case they don’t manage to sign Neymar – who they are linked with a £199million move for.

PSG are willing to pay £40million to Arsenal for Sanchez – who only has a year left on his contract at the Emirates Stadium – with the French side hoping that the Gunners reluctance to sell to a Premier League club will work in their favour.
