Pep Guardiola is reportedly targeting France star Ousmane Dembele as he ponders an alternative to Alexis Sanchez.
Arsenal forward Sanchez is on Pep’s Man City target list this summer and yesterday the Daily Star reported a straight swap deal involving Sanchez and Sergio Aguero was on the cards.
But while that seems unlikely, Man City are hunting for a new forward and now according to LeSport10, Dembele is on the club’s radar.
Barcelona have been heavily linked with 20-year-old, who put England to the sword in Paris earlier this month.
But Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has claimed all along that Dembele was not for sale and yesterday he was quoted in the Daily Mirror as saying: “There are no negotiations.”
City though are believed to have an interest in the forward, who is believed to be rated at £80million by Dortmund.
And now, according to Bild, Bayern Munich are interested in Dembele, who scored 10 goals and claimed a staggering 21 assists in 49 games in all competitions last season.
France international Dembele, who is contracted until 2021, has proved to be a shrewd signing by Dortmund, who paid just £12million for the player from Rennes last summer.
Paris Saint-Germain and Man Utd are also tracking Dembele, who was England’s tormentor in chief, scoring the winner in Les Bleus’ recent 3-2 win.
