Man United battle Tottenham for highly-rated Fulham star – report

Ryan Sessegnon: In demand

Manchester United are reportedly keen on signing Fulham’s 17-year-old sensation Ryan Sessegnon this summer.

Liverpool and Tottenham have both been monitoring the left-sided player, who has yet to sign his first professional contract, but the Reds are believed to have dropped out of the running leaving Spurs as favourites for his signature.

However, it would now appear that United have entered the race, with Jose Mourinho said to have been watching the player’s progress at Craven Cottage, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Sessegnon is widely regarded as one of the hottest prospects in the English game but is said to be happy to stay and develop his game at Fulham if a move does not materialize this summer.

The teenager would be available for around £2million in training compensation, were he to leave the club before signing a pro deal, but the Cottagers are desperate to keep him as they plot a return to the Premier League next season.
