Man United legend warns that Pogba could quit over Mourinho clash

Paul Scholes thinks that Paul Pogba could quit Manchester United over his relationship with manager Jose Mourinho.

There have been rumours over the last few months that the pair are no longer on speaking terms after a clash behind the scenes at Old Trafford.

It has been suggested that Mourinho would be willing to let Pogba go in the summer if there isn’t a big improvement in performances from the France international.

Pep Guardiola claimed that Pogba was offered to Manchester City in the January transfer window, while other clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid have been linked with a summer move.

And Scholes thinks the rift between player and manager appears so bad that there is a possibility Pogba leaves the club.

When asked on BT Sport whether Pogba could depart Old Trafford this summer, Scholes said: “I think he could.

“I don’t know, I don’t speak to anyone at the club but from the outside looking in, it looks as though the relationship isn’t great.

“And when you see a performance like that on Sunday (against West Brom) you think he doesn’t care what the manager thinks.

“I think that’s disrespectful towards the manager and his team-mates.”
