Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asensio has a five-year offer on the table from Manchester United, according to reports in Spain.
Jose Mourinho is already looking at targets for next summer and beyond as he tries to build for the future at Old Trafford.
Don Balon claims that the Premier League club are willing to pay €200m (£177m) with an offer already with the Spaniard.
Mourinho is understood to be targeting Asensio as his marquee signing for next summer and it is hoped that a £24million-a-year deal for five years will tempt him to move.
The 21-year-old, who is under contract until 2023, has four goals and two assists in eight starts for Los Blancos this season and Real Madrid rate him highly.
And his club and international team-mate, Isco, has tried to calm the recent hype surrounding one of the brightest talents in world football.
“He has great potential and a massive future in the game, he has a prodigious left foot, one which practically no other player has,” Isco told Movistar+.
“We just have to let him keep improving with calmness and not allow his head to be filled with little birds.
“People are talking about how they think he is going to win the Ballon d’Or but we don’t talk about that and don’t think about winning that.
“All that we can do is work hard and try to get better every day.”
