Luke Shaw is expected to be sold this summer after Manchester United booked their place in next season’s Champions League on Wednesday night.
The injury-plagued England star is expecting to hear his fate by the end of the month but it is thought that Jose Mourinho will look to sign a more experienced left-back now that the club have returned to Europe’s premier club competition.
The 21-year-old is currently on crutches and sidelined until August after surgery on an ankle ligament injury.
Shaw, however, is said to be keen on staying at Old Trafford, but Mourinho has been critical of the player’s form, fitness and lifestyle since taking over the reins at United last summer.
Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester City are all rumoured to be possible destinations for the former Southampton star, who has made just 11 Premier League appearances for the Red Devils this season, according to the report in the Daily Mirror.
United are unlikely to fetch anything like the £27m they paid for Shaw back in 2014 but it seems as if they are ready to cut their losses and bring in a more established replacement.
