Manchester United are poised to receive a tidy sum for Burnley defender Michael Keane as they will pocket 25% of his next transfer fee.

The former Red Devils graduate is reportedly on Chelsea’s radar as they look to bolster their defence, but part of any fee that Burnley receive for their star centre-back will go to Old Trafford due to a prior agreement.

Leicester City saw a £15million offer turned down by Burnley in the summer as the Clarets are holding out for at least £20million in January.

The Daily Mail also believe that Keane is looking to test himself at a higher level having already turned down two new contract offers from Burnley, while Manchester United themselves could make a move for their former player.

If Jose Mourinho does green light the move, the 25% sell-on fee would not come into effect.
