PSG look to have gained a decisive edge in the race for Dani Alves, despite reported interest from Manchester United and Chelsea.
The Premier League pair are thought to be in the running for the 34-year-old, who had looked to be heading for a reunion with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.
Alves left Juventus at the end of last season after struggling to fit in at the Turin club, although his form did improve towards the end of the season as Juve reached the Champions League final and also claimed the Serie A title.
According to the report on Calciomercato, PSG have promised Alves regular playing time and also a key role in the club’s future and a deal could be done within the next 24 hours.
The news will come as a big blow to City as Guardiola still searches for new full-backs, and it could lead to a renewed offer for Tottenham right-back Kyle Walker in the coming days.
