Real Madrid are reportedly planning on smashing the world transfer record with a £200million move for Eden Hazard and will follow that up with the signings of two more Premier League stars.
The Spanish giants are planning a massive overhaul after a disastrous La Liga title defence, which currently sees them 19 points behind leaders and bitter rivals Barcelona.
The Daily Mail reports that Real president Florentino Perez is trying to convince Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino to take over from Zinedine Zidane as boss, with initial discussions already said to have taken place.
Real are also ready to splash out a total of £500m on the signings of Hazard, Tottenham’s prolific striker Harry Kane and Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea in a bid to revitalise the club.
Chelsea star Hazard has been repeatedly linked with a switch to The Bernabeu, while Real have been trying to bring De Gea back to Madrid since a potential deal fell through at the last minute in 2015 and Kane is wanted by a number of European heavyweights after winning two successive Golden Boot awards.
However, speaking earlier this month, Hazard revealed that he was ready to extend his stay at Stamford Bridge: “I think Thibaut [Courtois] first. Then I will sign.”
De Gea, meanwhile, has revealed in the past that it is his dream to one day play for Real Madrid, but would not be drawn on his future when speaking to Sky Sports: “I don’t think it’s the time to start talking about the future, it’s not the time to be talking contracts.
“We have lots of games between now and the end of the season. It’s all about getting your head down, focusing, working hard, competing in training, keeping fit and picking up points.”
Rumours of the United star heading back to Spain were further heightened when Real skipper Sergio Ramos reportedly told friends that the Red Devils stopper would become the club’s next ‘Galactico’ in the summer.
As for Kane, he has previously shot down any speculation over his future and revealed how happy he is in north London.
However, if Real were to tempt Pochettino to part company with Spurs then there has to be a strong chance that Kane would follow – given the strong bond the pair have.
