Manchester United and neighbours City are reportedly interested in signing Sevilla left-back Clement Lenglet.
The 22-year-old only moved to Spain earlier this year after completing a switch from Ligue 1 side Nancy in January.
However, he has made a big impression during his short time in La Liga and has attracted the interest of several of Europe’s top clubs, according to the report in The Sun.
Arsenal, Liverpool and Barcelona are all said to have been monitoring the France Under-21 star, who has a £28million release clause inserted in his contract.
But now the two Manchester giants have entered the running, with United boss Jose Mourinho looking to make changes in the left-back spot as Luke Shaw, Daley Blind and Metteo Darmian could all be moved on in 2018.
City chief Pep Guardiola is also on the hunt for a replacement for Benjamin Mendy, who suffered a serious knee injury in September and may not return before the end of the season.
Lenglet is a natural left-sided player who can also play centrally or as a wing-back and would provide either Manchester club with great versatility.
